These are Bruce’s two favorite providers for photography gear:

Fungi are not a problem on a short tour, but consider this gear for extended projects in the rainforest:

Place individual pieces of gear into bag, squeeze the air out and seal as a measure to help reduce your gear’s exposure to fungal spores in the rainforest environment.

This is my favorite solution to prevent moisture buildup in gear during long-term work in the rainforest. Unlike the old dessicant canisters that needed an oven to restore their usefulness, all these units need is to get plugged into a standard 120V outlet. Mine gets charged during the day, and then it is placed in a sealed “Pelican” brand case with gear overnight. That’s when rainforest humidity — which promotes the growth of fungus — is highest.
